- The Vessel: An Ngalawa is a traditional Swahili twin-hulled outrigger canoe, roughly 5–6 meters long, fitted with a central mast and a single triangular sail. Handcrafted by local artisans, it relies entirely on the wind and century-old navigation techniques.
- The Journey: You will step aboard right from the beach—often during high tide when the water is perfect. As you leave the coastline, you'll sail parallel to palm-fringed beaches like Jambiani, Paje, or Michamvi, feeling the fresh sea breeze.
